I’m here at the baseball stadium for the woeful Kansas City Royals. Though only halfway through this back and forth contest I submit this entry as it’s highly unlikely I will be in seat 11 row X section 124 when the final out is recorded.
So here are the pros and cons as I see them:
PROS:
* It is a nice facility especially when one considers it was built over 30 years ago when the cookie cutter multi-use stadiums were en vogue..
CONS:
*I would say it is in the middle of nowhere but I don’t want to insult nowhere.
*The video the Royals play describing undesirable behavior (boorish behavior, running on the field, smoking at your seat) has the Goofus porterayed by a man in a YANKEES CAP!
*The baffoon who sang the national anthems butchered O CANADA and THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER. While his errors on the US anthem was mispronouncing a word or two, the Canadian anthem was mangled with entire sections left out or creatively rewritten.
I’m not even going to bore you by describing the heat.
Probably the last dispatch on this trip aside from a wrap up next week.
