All systems…GO!

Just a scant few hours left until I go in for the valve replacement. I went to the hospital for my pre-op tests. I got a rather dry DVD explaining what I can expect from the whole process. To be honest I got pretty much everything from the pamphlet they sent me last week.

But on the plus side I got a totally kick-ass tracksuit!

And it mine to keep!
As is the moustache! (What a segue!) I was not at any point told to shave off the ole soup strainer so I plan on maintaining the magnificent handlebarred monstrosity through my recuperation.
It’s snowing here in NYC now for the first real time this winter. Apparently it is even worse Upstate where my parents are coming from. I hope they can make it in time.
This is the last post before I head in so it may be a while until you hear from me again. I appreciate all the kind thoughts and well wishes I have received and hope to be able to post again soon.

  1. We are all there with you William, even though we may be stuck in East Greenbush. Also, we are all wearing those tracksuits.

  2. Thinking of you…and wishing you the speediest of recoveries, so you will be back traveling the world in no time.

  3. Hey! So glad the surgery was a success! I wore my tracksuit to work today and I think it did the trick.

  4. Way to go, bro. Traveler Bill’s successful surgery insures two things:

    1. More inspiring T.B. adventures.
    2. The popularity of track suits will go through the roof. Way to pimp that suit, brutha!
